- 10.5: How to set the Windows Workgroup

The Windows workgroup that the mac uses is now set in the Network System Preferences pane by clicking the pop-up menu next to the Location combo-box and selecting Edit Locations. You can then add a new location with the name of your desired workgroup.Once this is done, click the Advanced button and then select the WINS tab. From here, you can now select your workgroup from the drop-down menu.
