- RIM ships 10.5 million BlackBerries, sees iPhone close gap

BlackBerry creator RIM today claimed another record quarter of smartphone sales in the winter. It shipped a total 10.5 million BlackBerries, slightly more than its already record 10.2 million in the summer and a new all-time high.
